FriENDships

We all have had friendships which we thought would last for eternity.
But most friends part ways in the journey of life.
Some still stay until they find someone to replace you, which stings your heart.
Or when they suddenly dislike you for a reason they find difficult to confront you for. They probably were never your friend.

But anyway, life goes on, buddies and friends come and go. But this cannot stop life from continuing. They probably left you to pull you down, but all they were a bunch of cowards who made you stronger and confident enough for you to keep your calm the next time someone does the same.
The positive way!

FriENDship
We said it was forever - said we'd never part,
I knew it was a line, but I still gave you my heart.
Said you would stay, promised you could,
You chose to walk away, I knew you would.
You're not there anymore, my dearest friends,
I hate to say this, but it is our end.
By day you're one person, by night another,
Neither of them have anything to do with each other.
I sit here and cry for you - not for me,
What you've become, I wish you could see.
In your life you make friends that you're sure are true,
Nothing else matters, except what's between them and you.
You don't know if anyone has ever before felt this way,
For them you took breaths, you wanted to be alive everyday.
It hurts to lose a friend, it gives you the saddest frown,
And when a second one bails, it's like getting kicked while
you're down.
And it hurts to be accused of something you didn't do,
You guys should know better than anyone, that I would never even think to.
You planted a knife in my back,
You were my life, but now, my memories of you are completely black.
I am afraid to love another, but I know I shouldn't be,
Because the people in my life, are perfect for me.
There is this game I play,
Where I close my eyes and fade away.
I can't believe it's true,
but in this place, I can't even remember that I loved you.
You can't fix something that's already done.

Look Beyond

Disclaimer - The post you read below is a complete expression of the writers thought, and not a law to be implemented and followed, nor a trend to be begun and mimic.

Now, you - the reader would be in wonder about the "disclaimer for a blog post?"
Well yeah, isn't this necessary in today's India where people get offended to words like 'Punjab' or 'Elections'?

Over the past year and a half, since I've enrolled myself into a course that studies Media, I've slowly and gradually understood the importance of cinema in ones environment.
Cinema is culture, cinema is expression and cinema is pure entertainment.

Why is cinema so many things?
One makes a feature film to express his thoughts (while I say this, I don't mean this for films like Dilwale or Housefull 3) and in many scenarios explain to the viewers about what's right and what's wrong, rather than who's right and who's wrong.
When the Udta Punjab controversy took place, for a moment I felt, why is this even becoming such a big issue?
A country obsessed with Politics, will obviously involve Politics in every controversy!
What was the need to make statements like Anurag Kashyap was paid by a Political Party to be a part of this controversy?
At a point, don't you realize that it's his Film, he's shed his blood and sweat over the past 3 years on implementing this film. What would convince him to not stand up against this injustice to expression of thoughts about ₹7,000 crore drug menace in this country!

When the apparent "Central Board of Film Certification", censors film rather than just Certify it and leave it for the audience to judge what's right and what's wrong, then where's the quotient of 'For the people, by the people'?

Since the day I started studying Media, I realized how much creativity matters to survive in this world of competition. Exactly opposite of what the schooling system EVER taught me!

If a film like UdtaPunjab supposedly inspires youngsters to get into drugs, the country needs to educate, not censor!

Now connecting the dots, the route to achieve what you want has always been the Orthodox way of following culture and traditions, while what I feel is we've been left behind as a nation looking at those aspects.
Enhance Creativity, culture changes as and when time changes!
Politics is not the end of the world. Even Politicians and Political Parties approach Creative Writers to build their election campaigns. And then, WE, as a whole fight against politicians to allow creative minds to survive in THIS world!

Look beyond.

My Favorite Shattered Dream

I met someone the other day.
A beautiful female.
It felt like, all that was missing in my life was fulfilled.
The best music was played.
Color was added to my life.
A storm of scent was filled in my lungs.

My life got a kick,
My life felt complete.
I was elated,
I started walking and didn't know where to go!

The spirit is pumped,
Marathon in my heart!
Cyclone in my breath!
Feelings on my lips,
And dreams in my eyes!
And in my dreams was my past.

Whenever I met someone,
Whenever I fell for her,
When she stopped by my heart,
How do I tell her I want to win her?

On her pretty face
When her hair flew,
It felt like someone tickled my back with a flower.

The way the moon hides from behind the clouds,
And peeps at us.
The way the sun rays go past the morning drapes.
And peeps at us.

My life was as bright.

Like the ocean of dreams in my eyes,
Where the waves talk to each other.
Where the oyesters give birth to pearls

My life was as relaxed.

Like I was listening to someone play guitar,
Like I heard someone sing my favorite song.
The way someone calls you with love.

My life was as complete.

How sweet were those talks.
How beautiful were those meetings.
When I knew just an eye contact can melt your heart.
When I felt that the moon could land on earth.

It feels like heaven is here!

She told me,
She made me understand,
We met the way we were destined to!
The flowers have blossomed the way the have to!
Relationship are made in heaven.
Only one in million stories are as perfect as ours!

My ears felt like they were filled with honey,
Didn't know that reality could be as beautiful as dreams!!

Then what happened?
Then I woke up.
My dreams were shattered, literally!
I won my conscious and realized that
The person who won my heart,
Who had settled in my heart,
Was long gone,
She was just an angel.
A beautiful Angel.

Now my days and nights are all by myself, again.
I'm all alone, yet again.

Just One More Chance.

"Mom! I'm going down to play!"

"Drink your milk first!"

"Only if its mango milkshake!"

"I've already made your bournvita!"

"I'll drink that in the evening. Make me my milkshake! But make it fast, they're already making the teams, I'll miss my batting if I get late!"

This is how my morning in the summer vacations used to start. Innumerable rubber balls lost, unaccountable fights taken place over decisions of out or not out.
The morning sessions would be filled with great fun until the sun was vulnerable at 1pm, which became our lunch time.

Evening sessions began with no strings attached over the morning controversies and another session of fun box cricket until dinner.

A session of badminton was followed after dinner at 10pm.

How I miss my childhood!
We lose our jobs, we can get another one.
We fail exams, we reappear.
But once childhood is lost, it doesn't come back.
Unfair. Terribly unfair.

I have nothing to do throughout my vacation.
Trapped inside a gadget in my house, typing on screens, changing channels and clicking the mouse is only activity I posses.
I want to go out in that hot vulnerable sun and play to my heart's extent. Play until I get dehydrated. Smash some rubber balls until they tear off. Have some fights with the opponent team members over run out decisions. I just want to play a lot.

More than I miss my childhood, I pity today's generation.
What will they know the fun about drinking 'nimbu paani' after finishing the morning session of cricket.
What do they know about getting scolded by the owner whose window was broken by an amazing shot.

I wish I got another chance to enjoy my childhood to the maximum.
Just one more chance.

A Story By My Grandmother.

Spending time with my grandparents has been the most magical learning experience ever since I was a kid. I was taught how to be mischievous without being spoilt. I was taught how to be responsible in the tiniest way possible. I learnt how living a simple life can still lead to such a happy life.

For the past couple of days while I stayed with my grandparents, they taught me something a young person of today's time, should definitely learn about; something emotional, yet really eye opening.

I was talking to my grandmother on an evening spent by the window when she started telling me her struggles as a young woman, as a young wife, and as a mother of two kids.
Typically, when your grandmother tells you a story, you just leave everything aside and just gaze at how brilliantly she narrates every bit of whichever story she says; that's the same I did.

She started off as a young girl in a village somewhere in Tamil Nadu where there was scarcity of water to when she got married and was taken to Chennai, where she wore her first pair of slippers to when she was taken to Kuwait after 3 months of her marriage, where my grandfather lived.

Amongst all this, I noticed one aspect of her life.
She never forgot to thank every single person who helped her through all her journeys. Be it God, be it the man who helped her buy her the first pair of slippers to the family who helped her husband survive in tough conditions while he was in Bombay, to the Gujarati lady in Kuwait who taught her to converse in Hindi or the uncle with whom she travelled to Kuwait to meet her husband.
Every single person who helped her even in the tiniest way possible, was thanked while she narrated her life story.
It doesn't take more than a moment to thank someone's effort for you.

My Grandparents also helped many people in their tough times.
She also says that many of them don't even appreciate their efforts today.

"But when helping someone makes you happy, then not being appreciated shouldn't be a restriction to your happiness"

Today, after the amazing story she narrated, I'd like to thank the people who've been a part of my life.

Thanks to those who hate me,
Your hate made me stronger.
Thanks to those who loved me,
You made my heart go fonder.
Thanks to those who cared,
You made me feel important.
Thanks to those who entered my life,
You made me who I am today.
Thanks to those who left,
You showed me that nothing lasts forever.
Thanks to those who stayed,
You showed me true friendship.
Thanks to those who listened,
You made me feel like I was worth it.

Always Be You.

The little things that people do to keep themselves distinctive from others, for the good to some, is the identity of a beautiful person.
Make up, looks, standing out never make a person look and feel beautiful until the person carries the weight of being themselves.
All these to a very large extent, don't matter if the heart is pure.
Hence, never stop being you.

Always Be You.

Never stop caring about the little things in life
Never stop dreaming or give into strife
Never stop wondering, are we on our own
Never stop thinking has your spirituality grown

Never stop building bridges that leads to better tomorrows
Never stop trying or give into sorrow
Never stop feeling amazed at the beauty that surrounds you
Never stop hearing the music or give into the blues

Never stop pushing away negative thoughts that make you feel sad
Never stop looking at the all the miracles we have had
Never stop loving the ones you hold dear
Never stop giving or give into the fear

Never stop smiling and look forward to each new day
Never stop shining in your own special way
Never forget that all storms will clear
Remember brighter tomorrows are always near.

Then What's Being Alive?

What do you want to achieve by running in the race that a busy city organizes?
If running this race, my friends, is being alive, then what's being dead?

Tension of the trains running late after the first rains.
Forgot the feeling of walking down the streets drenched in rain water?

Definitely up to date with the conditions of the characters in serials,
But do you have time to know the same to your mother?

Surely in touch with the world inside the Internet
But don't even know the people who in the neighborhood.

Never forget to connect your phones to wires,
But where's the wire that connects you to your close friends?

When was it last when you enjoyed the view of a beautiful sunset?
Now do you even realize the transition between light and dark?

So friends, What do you want to achieve by running in the race that a busy city organizes?
If running this race, is being alive, then what's being dead?
